Safety
Managing safety is a high priority for Vinidex. We recognise that the Occupational Health and Safety of all employees, contractors and visitors is the responsibility of the company.
Providing a safe and secure working environment can only be achieved when we understand and accept our responsibilities and have the necessary skills to meet them.
To raise the performance of safety processes, Vinidex adopted a comprehensive Occupational Heath, Safety and Environmental management system called Project ATLAS. Our aim is to develop a culture that works to eliminate injuries and incidents. Vinidex is continuously developing this system to sustain the effectiveness and efficiency of the “people”, “plant” and “procedural” measures used to manage its safety, health and environmental risks.
The Atlas Management System is one of the three components in the strategy of raising Vindex’s safety, heath and environmental performance.
The Occupational Health, Safety and Environmental Policy, Standards and the Model Procedures set the standard for best practices on all Vinidex sites and are regularly updated to maintain best practices.
The second major component of our safety strategy is to establish and sustain high engineering and maintenance standards.
The third major component is our people. High levels of safety and environmental performance cannot be achieved unless we have well trained people who are aware of safety issues that can affect them or their colleagues.
