PVC is the stablished pipe material for sewer mains.
Authorities and contractors recognise its advantages of long length, ease of handling and installation, resistance to root penetration and its proven performance. PVC systems also overcome the problems of water infiltration and sewerage exfiltration.
Vinidex's SewerPRO® pipe and fitting system represents the new generation of structured wall sewer pipes. SewerPRO® pipe is extremely material efficient. Its corrugated cross-section achieves levels of lateral stiffness that would otherwise require far greater wall thickness with a corresponding need for more raw materials. It's extremely cost-effective and provides significant project savings over traditional materials. Even large diameters of up to 900mm are light enough to be easily transported, handled and installed. A complete range of fittings is available for SewerPRO®.
Polyethylene pipe is particularly effective in the rehabilitation of existing sewers and water mains in need of renewal.
There is an increasing need to repair aging systems. Relining the existing pipe with polyethylene is a proven and effective solution. It is fully resistant to corrosive attack by the constituents of sewerage, including sulphide gas.
PVC pipe for trenchless technology techniques is also manufactured by Vinidex. Vinidex Ex-Pipe is partially flattened after extrusion and coiled into a reel. The coiled pipe is then used to reline corroded sewer or water mains.
