  • Lower installation costs & easy handling

    In addition to a lower material cost, Corzan pipe can significantly reduce labor and transportation costs on a typical installation. The reason? Its lightweight, easily handled, stored, cut and joined. Furthermore, heavy equipment used to install metallic and other piping systems are not required, thereby reducing project costs.

  • Extended life

    Corzan CPVC is fundamentally ageless and impervious to normal weather conditions. They will not rust, pit, scale or corrode on either interior or exterior surfaces. Unlike other types of piping, Corzan systems are not adversely affected by environmental conditions.

  • Superior underground performance

    Corzan CPVC is immune to damage from naturally corrosive soil conditions as well as electrochemical and galvanic corrosion. This is particularly advantageous in underground installations where galvanic reaction often causes damage to metal piping products. Non-corroding properties ensure improved flow, lower maintenance costs and longer performance life.

  • Exceptional chemical resistance

    IPEX pipe systems, including pipe, valves and fittings, provide outstanding resistance to a wide range of chemicals such as most acids, alcohols, alkalies, salt solutions, halogens and more.

  • Improved flow

    Corzan CPVC has a substantially lower Roughness Factor than metal and other materials, and since they do not rust, pit, scale or corrode, the interior walls remain smooth in virtually any service. This high carrying capacity may permit the use of flatter grades or smaller diameter pipe.

Specifications

All CPVC Schedule 80 pipe shall conform to ASTM F441/F441M and be third party certified to NSF 14. All CPVC Schedule 40 and Schedule 80 pipe from 1/2″ to 8″ shall be made with a CPVC compound having a minimum cell classification of 24448. CPVC Schedule 80 socket fittings shall conform to ASTM F439 and Schedule 80 threaded fittings shall conform to ASTM F437. All fittings must be third party certified to NSF 14. All CPVC Schedule 40 and 80 pipe and fittings shall be made from a 4000psi HDB PPI rated compound. All CPVC Schedule 80 fabricated fittings shall be reinforced with fiberglass reinforced plastic (FRP).

All CPVC fittings shall be molded or fabricated from CPVC compound that is compatible with the pipe material. Only IPEX CPVC Schedule 80 pipe shall be threaded and the pressure rating shall be reduced by 50%. All pipe, fittings and valves shall be compatible, produced using Corzan compound and be produced by one manufacturer as supplied by IPEX.
