Features & Benefits

  • Increased useable floor area

    The single stack system with stack-aerator eliminates the use of vent stacks, increasing design flexibility and usable floor area.

  • Chemical and temperature resistant

    Akatherm HDPE is suitable for use in drainage applications where temperatures can range from -40⁰C to +80⁰C (up to 100⁰C for short durations). Furthermore, it has excellent chemical resistance making it ideal for polluted waste water.

  • Green material

    Akatherm HDPE is 100% recyclable. It is environmentally friendly without any weakening agent, lead or other SVHC substance.

  • Long life

    The minimum life expectancy of HDPE is over 50 years. There is less risk of blockage compared to other systems and requires less maintenance. There is no corrosion resulting in blockage or reduced lifetime.

  • Ease of handling and installation

    Akatherm HDPE is light in weight, over 6 times lighter than the comparable cast iron. It is flexible, tough and therefore suitable for installation underground and for embedding in concrete.

  • Prefabricated for efficiency

    Prefabrication is possible because assembled HDPE pipe segments can be transported with very little risk of damage; HDPE is almost unbreakable above 5°C.
